Contact me for details and chat with me, but here's my standard process and prices:
Work can be commissioned from your submission of images via e-mail and a determination will be made if they are usable as reference. If submission is marginal in quality or does not offer enough information about the subject, I will request for additional images or set up a time for me to take digital images. A fee will be determined depending on travel time within the surrounding Atlanta area only but more often than not, I can work with your images.
WATERCOLORS / MIXED MEDIA
All portraits are typically created in pastels, color pencils, and watercolors and are set against a white background for simplicity. A typical image size is approximately 12" x 18" on acid free watercolor paper and are priced between $800-$1200
each depending on complexity and other factors.
Additional subjects within the same portrait are $150 each and will need to be requested prior to the start of the work. Pricing does not include travel for photo/reference shoots. Shipping is included in the price unless other arrangements are made or for international shipping. Contact me for pricing for other sizes.
OIL PORTRAITS
Oil portraits follow the same process with the standard size of 22" x 28", unframed, requiring 4-7 weeks depending on schedule, work-load demand and drying time. Fees for oil portraits (FOR THIS SIZE) are $1800-$2,500 depending on complexity with additional fees of $250 per subject. I recommend no more that 3 or 4 subjects per painting at this size. If you wish for a larger size, or smaller, please contact me for pricing, scheduling, and other details. Unlike mixed media portraits where shipping is included in price, oil paintings require a shipping charge of $50, added for insurance within the continental US. Requirements exceeding regular shipping, such as over-night, or larger than my standard size, etc. will be charge accordingly.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
WATERCOLOR / MIXED MEDIA Portraits (Except OIL-see above) can be completed and shipped in 3-4 weeks or sooner depending on workload. I want you to be totally satisfied with the finished art but time is an important factor so rush work is usually not accepted but contact me as there may be spaces in scheduling that may fit your time frame. Prior to shipping, a jpg file of the work will be sent for your review to make sure it is to your satisfaction.
A 30 percent deposit will be required prior to start, with the rest due upon completion and notification of shipping address and shipping cost if is an oil painting and/or if there are special shipping requirements. Upon receipt of the balance, your portrait will be shipped to you for your enjoyment. Contact me for details.
